Large and Small Format Laser Cutting
Large and Small Format Laser Metal Cutting Capabilities Like No Other.
Port City’s leading-edge laser cutting technology paired with our expertise gives you more options. With our large and small- format laser cutting equipment, we can handle any size job with precision. We’re proud to have five of the largest laser processing systems in North America. Our small-format laser cutters are equally amazing with the newest and most advanced technology available. The result is extremely tight tolerance parts from a wide variety of thicknesses and materials: carbon and stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
Large and Small Format Laser Equipment
Port City Metal Services has large and small format lasers with dual pallet bed sizes ranging from 60” x 120” to 80” x 240”. The smaller format units have automatic load / unload capability. Our GANTRY PLATE lasers with 6kW resonators have cutting envelopes up to 13’ x 100’.

MAXIMUM THICKNESSES FOR LASER PROCESSING:
- Carbon steels: Through 7/8″
- Stainless steels: Through 3/4″
- Aluminum: Through 3/8″
TOLERANCES:
- Tolerances will exceed +/- 0.015″ depending upon part configuration, material type and thickness.
KERF:
- Minimal kerf allows precision laser burning of small cutouts and holes.
HEAT AFFECTED ZONE:
- A narrow heat affected zone minimizes stresses induced during the cutting process thereby eliminating most thermal distortion.
